Star charts

The built-in plan: 16 charts, ordered so every new character maximizes the words you can read. Already know some? Open a chart and mark it learned in one tap.

Coverage is measured against a corpus of Taiwan film and television subtitles — the closest public match to everyday Mandarin. Because the order follows the words a character unlocks, a few very common characters that rarely appear inside longer words — 嗎, 很, 呢, 誰 — arrive late, which is why chart 14 gains so much at once.
